For security reasons, and in application of the National Security Scheme (Esquema Nacional de Seguridad), it is mandatory in Spain to show information about the last access to users.

Hi there. Please could you elaborate on this - who does this apply to? Admin users, Portal users or both? What information would need to be displayed? Is it just a case of showing the date and time of the previous log in?

Hi Lewis.
The system must inform to all users of the last successful login with his identity (date and time), once he has gained access. This mechanism (which can be implemented through different mechanisms such as: pop-up, email, SMS, etc.) will allow the user to detect if his user account has been compromised and to activate the password-related incident resolution procedure. For example, after a period of account inactivity (vacation, leave, etc.), if the user is notified of a recent login, he will immediately know that someone has impersonated him in the system.
If it is not possible for the system to proactively implement this notification, mechanisms should be put in place so that the user can consult the access log.
